Your Woodvale Community Hall played host to approximately 3000 cyclists participating in the Great Victorian Bike Ride on 2nd December 2015 while stopping off for a well deserved lunch break on their journey.

Your Woodvale Brigade and Hall Committees set up our BBQ to supplement what is being provided by the official organisation to give riders a gourmet sausage - Woodvale style - for those that wanted a bit of extra protein for the next leg !!!!

The early pacers were arriving just after 8am, and they just kept coming ....and coming.....and coming, until the last stragglers were arriving at about 2:30pm.

A roaring trade was had by the sausage sizzle, and we were overwhelmed with ques of up to 40 metres at times which pushed our volunteers, Ken Stent, Gary Davis, Jim Hickson and Neil Ozanne to their bootstraps!

However I believe a great time was had by all, and It really was a great spectacle to be seen....
