Woodvale Fire Brigade
PROJECTS IN HAND
New works will be undertaken in the near future at the Woodvale Fire Brigade complex and in the community with the "Small Towns" funding round for 2010 - 2011. The sum of $16.673 has been gratefully received from COGB, and funded projects are expected to commence shortly.
The approved project to be conducted at the Woodvale Fire Brigade in 2011 is the installation and groundworks for a new concrete apron, capable of taking the heavy load of Fire Engines etc.
Another project that is currently underway is the production of a "History of The Woodvale Fire Brigade" book. This is being undertaken to commemorate the Brigade's 80th Anniversary, and will be launched at a celebratory event early in 2012.
The project will be undertaken with the grateful funding of various phylanthropic organisations, with the initial funding of $5000 having already being generously provided by the "Empowering Eaglehawk" organisation.

PROJECTS RECENTLY COMPLETED
The Small Towns Funding gratefully received from the COGB in 2010, allowed the purchase of a new refrigerator to provide cool water for fatigued firefighters, and a vacuum cleaner to assist in maintenance of the the Brigade facility.
